We were pleased to have so many beautiful weddings in 2022

2022 was a very busy wedding year for us at Exmouth Wedding Venue. We had a lot of very beautiful and pleasent weddings. The weather was very kind this year a quite a few brides took advantage of the Orchard licensed pergoda and had out door wedding ceremonies. The picture above is of our 16th century Cob Barn wedding facility, A typical day will have welcome drinks in the Orchard and the orchard barn is reserved for the wedding celebration. We are working hard through lockdown. Business is going well in all areas as we always have a lot of pre-bookings. Many of our wedding dates have been moved and here comes the vaccination, we are looking forward to opening ithe doors. But safety first and we have plenty to get on with before we welcome you all back.

Very optimistic about the 2021 wedding season

Our smaller weddings can enjoy dressing the Cob barn, but for average size groups the Cowshed is perfect. We enjoy showing you our venue, we are very proud of our bar service. We have a substanial range of beers and drinks on offer, from ales to premium largers.

The Cob barn normally hold the wedding service while the Cowshed hosts the wedding celebration, the Orchard may also host the wedding ceremony or the refershing drink after the service. Come and have a tour and make your wedding plans with us.

Renovating ready for the 2020 weddings

We are rendering the lodge and cottage. Then it will get a coat or two of paint (same Devon red colour) to look amazing for 2020. The picture is of the lodge and cottage being shrink wrapped so that we can work in the cold and wet winter conditions.

Weddings at exmouth country Lodge

Every wedding is different, they all have a different theme and it is great to see the styles and ideas unfold before our eyes. The Cowshed tends to be the main breakfast reception while the Cob or Orchard is the chosen wedding ceremony venue. On the Friday for example, the Cowshed is dressed ready for the next day and the design and planning all come together. Some use a wedding planner and most tend to design everything themselves for their own unique special day.

And of course you choose and arrange your own caterers and we offer very well priced wine for the table and a welcome drinks package.

Barn weddings at Exmouth Country Lodge

We can also offer wedding ceremonies in the Orchard. The great outdoors. Our barns are designed to have the ceremony in the Cozy Cob and then drinks in the Orchard and the wedding celebrations in our Cowshed venue.

Dress the Cowshed the day before. Our wedding accommodation is available for two nights, which include the Orchard Cottage and the Country Lodge. And extra visitors can always stay in our Bell Tents or camp in our camping fields.

We have a very flexible venue and would be pleased to give you a tour.

April Weddings

April Wedding

The wedding started early. It was a good plan to decorate the Cowshed the day before, that's why we always recommend two day use of the accommodation (Cottage and Lodge). The Cob barn had a mock set up that was then taken down so that everyone and the other camp guests could enjoy a relaxing drink in the Cosy Cob Barn.

The Cowshed is where the reception is held after the ceremony, which was held at 12 Noon in the 16th century Cob Barn. Drinks in the Orchard - then let the celebrations commence. The Cowshed bar is our largest bar and can accommodate 350 people standing, this wedding was around 250 guests, about 120 in the day and the rest arrived for the evening party.

Above is the Cowshed dressed ready on the Friday night for the wedding breakfast. The picture shown below is of wedding guests enjoying a relaxing drink in the Orchard and courtyard after the ceremony. In the back ground you can see the land train taking the guests for a trip to the beach.

And after the speeches and ceremony comes the party celebration where the rest of the guests can congratulate the couple and everyone can let their hair down. The picture below is of a silent disco in the Cowshed which stared at around 9pm after the band had finished. A relaxed personalised wedding organised by the Bride and Groom.

Beautiful Sunny day at Exmouth Wedding Venue

It was a warm Sunny Spring day at Exmouth Country Lodge; The Exmouth Wedding venue.

The wedding ceremony was held in the 16th Century Cob Barn. The wedding party flowed outside to
enjoy some music and refreshing drinks served from the Cow shed where the wedding breakfast was
going to be held. Plenty of room in the orchard and there were lots of games in amongst the trees for
the children to enjoy.

Then into the Cowshed for a lovely meal, fine wine and speeches. Perfect.

Then the rest of the guests would be arriving as the stage was set for a wonderful celebration party. And just a short tumble to the Lodge or Cottage and another relaxed Bride and Groom have had a lovely time.

Venue Improvements

We have a new relaxing upstairs space area in the Cowshed

There have been some improvements made to the Cowshed. A new area has been created upstairs for any wedding to use as a relaxed area with a view of the wedding party. If you do not want to use the space we will simply lock it and it has no impact on your day. It's where the office use to be and makes great use of the upstairs space.

We added a new floor and insulated the walls and kept it to the Cowshed image of rustic charm. If you are booked with us, please come and have a look and if you are thinking of joining us then, it's a great space to utilise for your wedding day.

All of improvements are designed to keep the rustic barn atmosphere while making it a really great venue.
